"On Monday 6 May I witnessed the creation of a new life form - "NUMB" A Club, A Party and an event all rolled up into a stack of skins and lit at one end with a blowtorch. A hugely varies mix of bangin' dance tunes & styles and an even wider variety of party people enjoying the experience of the month at Wilkie House, Edinburgh. And better still, the organisers tell me that the next one is in the planning already.


Featured in this month's extravaganza were explosive stage pyro's, storms of polystyrene "Snowflakes" & glitter, clouds of dry ice isolating you from the other 300 jumping groovers for delicious seconds. DJs armed with lasers to pick out the maddest dancing maniacs, along with guest appearences from Bongos in the Bar - an 'invisible' juggler with glow-in-the-dark balls and Pinhead from the Hellraiser films. I don't know what's coming next time, but one thing's for sure, I'm NUMB with anticipation. Be There!

DIRECTIONS
The first step has been taken and we had a party. The next date is going to be more compact with more going on within everyone's reach.

Some partiers missed the fireworks but those that didn't got an adrenalin hit to buzz the the night 'till the end.

Next time, bigger effects about 11.15am to pump everyone.

Max on the tamborine bongo's kept the crowd jumping even when the lights were up and the music off, so more from him coming your way.

 Jeremy impressed us all with his juggling and got his confidence with the crowd by the end of the night, so look out for more here too!

Hopefully a small stage downstairs will provide a more central focus for all these peoples' talents next time.

Nicky in his Hellraiser costume proved a real Hedonistic treat for us true party animals and the Vodka Warriors will definately bear their bod's next time - promise!

Dancers will be on the stage for the 3rd & check out the planned parachute jump for the ultimate NUMB Fuck!

Chosen Club History: Hi-Jinks, Wide Open

Enjoyed night, especially relaxed atmosphere. Liked the non-weekend vibe and thought the Monday crowd just know how to do their own party... NUMB, NUMB, NUMB...


Holding his breath about the juggler but felt the jungle sound of "Hype - We Must Unite" - Ganja Records - went straight to the partiers as did one of his end set tracks "Batucada. The sound of the Favelas" - Mr Bongos Original Brazilian Recordings.

Played 1am - 2am on 6th May - Intended set time on 3rd June 12.30-1.30am
