PGP!? Whats that ?

Weeell, Essentially PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) is a virtually unbreakable system for encrypting files and email.
Because of it's initial free release all over the world, and great strength, it has become a virtual de facto standard in secure email communications.
If you want more info on it, pop down to the nearest bookshop and grab yourself one of the many titles on the subject.

  • You can ftp a copy of the newest versions of PGP from ftp://ftp.ox.ac.uk/pub/crypto/pgp but plese bear in mind that this is for use outside the USA only

  • There are stacks of shells, front ends etc. for PGP out there, for every platform and OS. Your best bet is to do a WWW search for one that will suit your needs.

    And remember, use it once you have it.
